Kathryn McNamee, co-founder of the Goddard Memorial Association, passed away on October 14, 2003. Kitty lived in Worcester across from her neighbor and friend, Esther Goddard.
After Esther died, in the early 1980's Kitty took on the task of making certain that Robert H. Goddard's name and accomplishments were properly honored here in Worcester, his birthplace.
To that end she co-founded the Goddard Memorial Association.
Kitty will be remembered for her wit, spirit and tenacity. And, for her gold sneakers.
She is greatly missed.
